Sinus Lift

  • What is a sinus lift?

A procedure that grafts bone inside the maxillary sinus,
    then places an implant.

What makes a sinus lift distinct?

If the air cavity inside the upper jaw has descended,
implant placement can be difficult. In these cases, we safely graft bone within
the sinus to secure sufficient volume, then proceed with implant placement.

We provide safe implant treatment using the sinus lift.

Sinus Lift Procedure

  • 01 Anesthetize upper jaw and molar area, then incise gum tissue

  • 02 Drill access according to residual bone thickness

  • 03 Lift the sinus membrane and graft bone

  • 04 Place the implant into the grafted site

  • Lateral approach

When residual bone is ≤ 5 mm,
open a lateral window and graft bone
  • Crestal approach

When residual bone is ≥ 5 mm,
access via the alveolar crest and graft bone

Postoperative precautions after sinus lift

Consume a soft or liquid diet for 2–3 days.

Do not blow your nose or use straws. If nosebleed occurs, wipe only.

Disinfect the area twice daily for about 2 minutes.

Sneeze with your mouth open.

Avoid strenuous exercise, hot baths, sauna, alcohol, and smoking for 1 week.

Do not brush the surgical site or touch it with your tongue.
